Entry Requirements: Qualification in Maths and English desirable but not essential.
The Level 2 Beauty Therapy Study Programme is a 20 week programme which will give you invaluable life skills and experience to help you secure employment in the hair and beauty sector.
You will attend our 20 week Level 2 Beauty Therapy Studies Programme delivered 3 days a week Wednesday to Friday at our training academy in Folkestone. During this time you will be learning health & safety in the salon, client care & communication and reception duties along with the following treatments:
Eyelash & eyebrow treatments
All of our assessors are fully qualified, and have previously or still are, working in this sector and will support you while completing your training. You will be learning and practicing in a realistic salon environment in our training academy.
If you did not achieve Maths and English GCSE grades A-C at school or college our study programme will also help you to improve and gain functional skills, which will prepare you for the apprenticeship or job requirements once your study programme is complete. This training opportunity will give you the necessary stepping stones that will lead into full time employment, advanced apprenticeships, self- employment and more.
At the end of the programme you will be interviewed by one of our Information Advice & Guidance assessors who will support you in your progress onto futher training or employment, if you haven’t already secured employment or an apprenticeship yourself. You will be able to apply for vacancies with TNB Skills or other outside agencies, with increased confidence, due to gained qualifications and experience to verify your skills as a beauty therapist.
You will also have the opportunity to attend a workshop about becoming self-employed within in the hair, nail & beauty industry and the opportunities you can gain from this.
Financial Assistance (if applicable)
To support candidates on this programme, TNB Skills Training will pay up to £20 a week towards travel and up to a maximum of £500 for the duration of the course, if you do not qualify for the government bursary which is means tested support and live outside a 4 mile radius of the training centre.
