14 week programme (3 days a week)
During your time on The Kent Programme, you will be taking part in a range of different activities and workshops. These will include personal development skills, personal career planning, preparing for interviews, preparing for work, recognising issues of substance misuse, using cooking skills in the domestic kitchen, presentation skills and team work.
You will also be taking part in workshops such as first aid, interview skills and CV writing, coding and many more!
You will take part in a weeks work experience placement in an area of your choice. This will give you the chance to find out exactly what the world of work is really like. If you work hard during this week you will gain a good reference from your employer which you can take with you to job interviews.
Maths and English functional skills (entry level 3, Level 1 and Level 2)
Not only is there the opportunity to gain skills you can use in the future such as confidence, teamwork and leadership, you can also gain a lot of experience to put on your CV.
You will complete a week of work experience in an area of your choice, take part in social action and complete workshops. After successfully completing the course, you will gain a qualification in NOCN Level 1 certificate in skills for employment, training and personal development.
You will also have the opportunity to gain up to Level 2 Maths and English qualifications.
