Woodpecker Court is a beautiful rural outdoor learning setting in Eythorne, in the heart of the old Kent coalfields, near Deal. We have two sites with parachute covered fire circles, three workshops, a range of animals and poultry to care for, many activities to try, vegetable plots and green housing, and access to woodland. A typical day at Woodpecker Court will see you light a fire with your group and cook up tea and toast. You will plan your day and move on to a range of activities designed to produce items to sell – from eggs to vegetables, from bat boxes to outdoor games. We sell through our honesty stalls and local contacts and with the profit we will enjoy a reward activity. Through this enterprise, we will also gain the evidence needed for your business qualification. Inside the classroom we keep warm in winter with our wood burning stove and cool in summer. We will support you to get ready for interviews and help you develop a good CV. The employability qualification gets you ready to face the world of work. Through our programme you can gain five qualifications, develop new friends, gain confidence and resilience through working in the outdoors and enjoy a very beautiful setting. At the end of the course we will support you in moving forwards with your next step.
