IMPACT (Intensive) is13 week self-discipline, academic and physical training course for young people 16—24 years that are thinking of joining the armed forces or a career in the uniformed public services (Police, Ambulance or Fire Service etc.) or just want to lose weight, become healthier and fitter.
The course is delivered by people from an ex-military background and supported by the local army who assist by lending their facilities. The course is run in central Ashford and at the Sir John Moore Barracks, Folkestone.
The course prepares candidates for the rigorous ordeal of the Armed Forces selection and in turn will prepare them for other uniformed service applications.
Learners will improve their fitness, discipline, academic and confidence levels over the course of the programme. Experiencing an equivalent level of PT instruction offered by the armed forces in the first phase of training.
