Clients will achieve nationally recognised qualifications in maths and English, within a learning environment that utilises everyday situations to foster understanding of the relevance and importance of these skills in every-day life and the all important workplace. They will be encouraged to use their achievements to build upon, with further qualifications, to achieve goals, targets and aspirations for a positive and rewarding career development.
In general, each subject of the functional skills journey would involve around 45 guided-learning-hours. The courses are delivered within a friendly and comfortable environment, with an emphasis upon achievement. Class sizes are relatively small and one-to-one tuition and support is always available.
These NCFE Functional Skills Qualifications are available at Levels 1 and 2, as well as Entry-levels 3, 2 and 1.
Clients will complete their training with realistic, workable functional skills and qualifications, along with an understanding of the importance of these skills in the modern work-place and for their own personal and career development.
This course, along with others we currently deliver, is part of a wider programme known as Enhancing Apprenticeships. Within this programme we aim to provide the client with a satisfactory and sustainable outcome, supporting them into full-time education or training, a traineeship, apprenticeship, voluntary role, full-time or part-time employment, whichever suits the client’s needs the most.
Clients should be 16-24 years of age, not currently in full-time education, employment or training. They must have the right to reside and work in the UK.
