English is a requirement for any job in the UK, so you will be much more employable by improving your ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
On this course you will develop skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening, and grammar. Various activities will be used to develop your English skills and vocabulary, such as working with other students in pairs or groups.
You will be studying towards a City and Guilds qualification in Skills for Life ESOL at the right level for you, based on your initial assessment; this will range from Entry Level 1 to Entry Level 3.
As well as learning English language skills, you will also study maths at the level which is appropriate for you. This could be anything from Entry 1 up to GCSE.
The Study Programme is for students aged 16–19. You must be over 16 and under 19 on 31st August. There are no formal qualifications required but you will need to come for an assessment, where your level will be decided.
