This course which runs each Monday & Wednesday for a period of 6 weeks, will equip clients with a thorough understanding of the work-environment within the important manufacturing/engineering sector.
This sector-focused training will place considerable emphasis upon the principles of lean-thinking within the manufacturing process. The core idea of these principles being to maximise customer value, whilst minimising waste. A lean organisation will focus its key processes upon continuous improvement of customer value, optimising technologies and assets, ultimately benefitting customer, manufacturer, environment and employee.
Clients will develop a realistic and productive understanding of the manufacturing/engineering sector, its role within the local and national economy and its relevance to their own individual skill-sets, abilities and aspirations.
The course is non-accredited. Clients will receive a certificate of achievement upon completing the training satisfactorily.
This course, along with others we currently deliver, is part of a wider programme known as Enhancing Apprenticeships. Within this programme we aim to provide the client with a satisfactory and sustainable outcome, supporting them into full-time education or training, a traineeship, apprenticeship, voluntary role, full-time or part-time employment, whichever suits the client’s needs the most.
Clients should be 16-24 years of age, not currently in full-time education, employment or training. They must have the right to reside and work in the UK.
